A spirit of cooperative action has rekindled and spread among the student population at the University of California, Berkeley. At the forefront of this new interest in cooperative organization is the Berkeley Student Food Collective (BSFC), a group dedicated to the creation of a community-based, cooperatively-run food market/café/deli that will sell fresh, local, healthy, environmentally sustainable, and ethically produced food at an affordable price to Berkeley students and the community.

To share its vision with the wider Bay Area community and to raise the necessary funds to make this vision a reality, the BSFC has announced its First Annual Harvest Gala to be held on November 20th in the David Brower Center in downtown Berkeley. The event will include live music, organic food, a fantastic silent auction and raffle, and exciting guest speakers, including Ari Derfel (Back to Earth Catering, Gather Restaurant) and Jessica Prentice (Three Stone Hearth Community Supported Kitchen). We will be providing free childcare with a separate kids' party, so no need to worry about a babysitter! It will be a formal dinner event with a twist — being organized by students and youth, the event will be creative and fun with art displays, musical performances, and other elements. It's going to be an opportunity to get inspired, to support a really incredible vision and movement, and most of all, to have fun!

If you are purchasing more than one ticket by credit card, you may either purchase each ticket separately, or enter the total amount you'll be paying for all tickets and enter the names of each attendee in the appropriate box on the purchase page.
